Today, organizations and enterprises should be more attentive to the protection of personal data (PD) of customers and employees, as well as restricted information (for example, commercial, banking, official or other secrets). Recently, the requirements for the protection of personal data have been strengthened by law. Thus, the approved Decree of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 05.10.2022 No. 570 (entered into force on 07.01.2023) contains the Regulation on determining the level of security of PD during their processing (Regulation No. 570). In document:

•  it is fixed that the owner and (or) operator of PD must take organizational and technical measures to protect them;
• PD security threats are identified. This is a set of conditions and factors that entail a change, addition, use, provision, transfer, distribution, depersonalization, destruction, copying as a result of unauthorized, including accidental access to PD;
• 4 levels of PD protection are set. The level is set if at least one of the conditions specified in Regulation No. 570 is met. One of them is the use of information protection tools that have passed the procedure for assessing compliance with the requirements of legislation in the field of information protection.
